Sea Glass Crafts

Welcome to my creative world inspired by the captivating beaches of the UK!

What We Make

Currently, as a student based in Plymouth, I have a passion for collecting a variety of coastal treasures to craft unique artworks. From smooth sea glass in vibrant hues to weathered driftwood boasting intriguing shapes, each find tells a story shaped by the ocean's touch. Alongside these treasures, seashells, pebbles, and other beach finds add texture and character to my creations.

Back in my studio, I carefully arrange and transform these beachy gems into stunning artworks that capture the serene beauty and enchanting spirit of the seaside. Bringing all these beachy treasures together, I create one-of-a-kind pieces that capture the beauty and essence of the UK coastline. It's my way of preserving the memories and sharing the magic of these incredible beaches with others.

How We make the Art

Step 1: Sea Glass Collection

I absolutely love exploring the beautiful UK beaches and collecting beach treasures along the way. Whenever I'm out there, I keep my eyes peeled for sea glass, shells, and driftwood. It's so exciting to stumble upon these unique finds as I stroll along the shorelines.

You won't believe the amazing sea glass pieces I've discovered! The waves have given them such a smooth and polished texture, and the colors are simply stunning. I can't resist picking them up and adding them to my growing collection.

Oh, and the seashells! They come in all shapes, sizes, and patterns. I'm like a kid in a candy store, carefully selecting the ones that catch my eye. They have this beautiful natural artistry that I find so captivating.

And let's not forget about the driftwood! It's fascinating how the ocean shapes and weathers the wood into these unique pieces. I always make sure to pick up the most interesting ones to use in my artwork.

Step 2: Assembly

I love using canvas as my base for creating art. I enjoy the process of gluing shells, driftwood, and sea glass onto it using PVA glue. These natural materials add such interesting textures and character to my artwork. Once the foundation is set, I grab a fountain pen and add intricate details to bring my imagination to life on the canvas. It's amazing how a simple pen can create such intricate designs!

To give my artwork color and depth, I carefully apply different shades of paint. I take my time blending the colors together to create the desired effect. Each stroke has a purpose and contributes to making my art unique and personal. It's a way for me to express my thoughts and dreams visually, and it's so satisfying to see it come to life.

In the end, my art is a reflection of the beauty I see in nature and the things that inspire me. It's a tangible representation of my creative vision that others can appreciate and enjoy. I hope it brings a sense of joy and wonder to those who view it.

How to buy

There are many ways to buy our artwork, which are all only £15. We are a small home-run business that cannot yet run the full-scale beach-loving operation we aim for. However, fear not, you can still buy through the following.
